New Song Friday! Hear New Tracks from Slash featuring Myles Kennedy, Kamasi Washington, Bright Eyes, and Illuminati Hotties

Hello! And welcome back to our recurring series where we share your favorite new songs and videos of the week.

In today’s edition, we’ll be checking out new work from Kamassi Washington, Illuminati Hotties, Slash featuring Miles Kennedy, Mitsky, Trace Lechis, and much more.

So, without further ado, let’s get into the music, shall we?

1. Bright Eyes has released three new songs as part of a large-scale re-release and re-recording project set for 2022. One of those new songs is “Haligh, Haligh, A Lie, Haligh”, which features everyone’s favorite guitar smasher, Phoebe Bridgers. Check out this new track below.

2. Nicki Minaj released a new single accompanying the music video for “Do We Have A Problem” featured on Lil Baby. The video, which begins as a movie, is over nine minutes long. Of course, she is distinguished by Minaj’s stinging popularity and sharp throwing. Check it out below.

3. Today, Mitski released a new LP, Laurel Hell. With it, the artist released a new music video for the driving song “Stay Soft”, which you can check out below. The video is particularly dramatic and fascinating in its production.

4. Oasis co-founder Liam Gallagher has released a new single from his upcoming album, C’mon You Know, due for release later this year. The new single, “Everything’s Electric,” also features Foo Fighters Dave Grohl on drums. Check out the new bright tone below.

5. Erin Rae has released her new honky-tonk single “Can’t See Stars” featuring Kevin Morby. The cliched tune is part of the singer-songwriter’s upcoming album, have funWhich officially dropped today (February 4). Check out the new tone in all the sliding guitar glory below.

6. Slash featuring Miles Kennedy and The Conspirators played a new song, “The River is Rising”, on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Before the show, Kimmel said, “Time to speak up really loud.” And he was right. The band’s new album, 4, is set to drop on February 11. Check out this performance below.

7. Similarly, another rock band, Linda Lindas, performed their latest track, agingemployment Late Show with James Corden earlier this week. The new single is part of a new album of the same name, which is scheduled to be released on April 11. Check out the late-night performance below.

8. Country songwriter (and TikTok star) Travis Yee released a catchy new tune this week called “She’s Changing,” which you can check out below. The sound-driven melody is a blend of traditional and contemporary writing and production techniques. No wonder kids love and adore him and his voice is so clear.

9. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah released a new honest acoustic version of their song, “Where They Perform,” which you can check out below. Prepare a box of tissues and excuses like, “It must be dusty in here!”

10. Legendary musician Kamassi Washington has released a new single called “The Garden Path”, which you can watch here. Washington appeared, too The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (His TV debut!) this week to perform an amazing tune-up show (with a giant backing band). Check it out below.

11. One of our favorite Northwestern rock bands, Tres Leches, released a new song this week called “Fireworks.” The bilingual rockers, signed to popular record label Devil in the Woods, have enough energy to run the Space Needle multiple times. Check out their new single, “Fireworks” below.

12. What’s better than combining food and music? Not much, we’ll tell you what. That’s why we love this new tune from the Illuminati Hotties rock, “Sandwich Sharer,” which you can check out below in all its mystical indie joy.

13. Seattle rockers Chris King and The Gutters released a sticky new single today, “Party With You”. The song is the heart of California with PNW snarling. It’s a melody beauty, so do yourself a favor and check it out below.
